The first season of Rock of Love featured 25 ladies who would compete every episode in various challenges to win dates with Bret Michaels. At the end of each show eliminations would be held, in which Bret would choose who would continue to rock his world.
Challenges included a Bret's "Mud Bowl" (football), a phone sex competition, an album cover photo shoot and an interrogation, among others.
The two finalists were Heather and Jes. In the season finale, Jes "won" Bret's heart. However, it was revealed in the Reunion Show that Jes did not have strong enough feelings for Bret, and she told him that he picked the wrong girl. Jes would go on to say that he and Heather had the best chemistry.
Season 2 was officially announced via commercial during the finale of I Love New York 2.
