This is a list of episodes for the Nickelodeon animated television series Avatar: The Last Airbender. The series premiered on February 21, 2005, and has aired through its second season. A third season, "Book 3: Fire," began airing on September 21, 2007. <ref> Season 3 to Premiere at 8 PM EST on September 21st!

Book One: Water (2005)
The first two chapters comprise the series premiere. The final two chapters comprise the season finale. The original pilot episode was never aired, but can be seen on the Complete Book 1 Collection's sixth disc.
Book Two: Earth (2006)
The first chapter comprises the season premiere. The final two chapters comprise the season finale.
Book Three: Fire (2007-200Image:Cool.gif
After a nine-month hiatus, the show began its third season September 21, 2007. In break from the usual airing pattern, wherein episodes air first on on Nickelodeon in the USA, several episodes aired in other countries first. Episodes six through nine were first shown in the UK, ten and eleven were first shown in the Netherlands, and twelve was first shown in Canada. In addition, this season will feature twenty-one episodes, rather than the twenty of the prior two seasons.

It currently has "The Serpent's Pass" and "The Drill" combined into The Secret of the Fire Nation. The episodes "The Guru" and "The Crossroads of Destiny" are also combined. The third Book, "Fire", is also available online through the iTunes iTunes Store|Store and the Xbox Live Marketplace.
Volume DVDs
Book One: Water
Book 1: Water, Volume 1, containing the first four episodes and the making-of special, was released on January 31, 2006 by Paramount Home Entertainment. The remaining episodes were also put into their own separate DVDs and sold separately for a total of five DVDs.
