Yo les paydays,

voici les commentaires d'un player de Ut2004 qui a joué a Ut3 (le player est un joueur de TDM/TAM)

"Unreal Tournament 3 looks large-scale - graphically it's simply stunning. Large maps, detailed landscape, shadows - it's no use describing it, you must see yourself... Those who like to drive or fly around in vehicles will be pleased with a new set of the Necris vehicles and improved vehicles of Axon line-up. The game has a new gametype - Warfare - a combination of Assault and Onslaught. Developers also promise to replace old ladder-type SP with a a full-fledged campaign.

I'll pay more attention about the movement and weapon balance as this is vital for competitive community. The arsenal of UT3 is a combination of weapons from Unreal, original UT and UT2004. UT3 will feature good ol' Impact Hammer from the first UT. This should drastically change the gameplay - games are going to be more intense, since now if you make a few mistakes, you can't just cover with the shield and run away. Games are going to be much more thrilling! The Assault rifle is replaced by Enforcer, and the Rocket Launcher now has a third fire mode - grenades are back! The Link Gun is now more like Pulse Gun and has its damage increased. The Minigun was replaced by Stinger. Its primary fire mode is just the same as Minigun's, but I couldn't try out the secondary properly. The second important change to the game after getting Impact Hammer is replacing the Lightning Gun with the Sniper Rifle. I'm glad about it because Lightning gun was quite "random" with its damage, while the sniper rifle is a steady 65 or 130 in case of a headshot.

Movement is changed too - dodge-jumps and wall-dodge-jumps are removed, everything else is intact.

Another good thing - game already has bright, clearly visible skins and hitsounds! To my question if there will be a rewind feature for demos, Mike Capps replied yes. It's great step ahead and it's good to see that developers are trying to make the game friendly not only for pro-players but also for movie-makers.

And for the conclusion, I'll save the most interesting part - the hardware requirements. Talking with Mike I tried to get as more info on that as possible about every vital part of the PC, because not everyone here (in Russia) may be able to buy a good PC. The game was made with dual-core processor in mind, so there's no reason in buying a quad-core CPU. 2Gb of RAM should be more then enough, and to run the game comfortably on lowest detail you'll need a card of GeForce 6600 level. The PC used to play the game (Core 2 Duo 2.66Ghz, 2Gb RAM, 8800GTS 320Mb) provided a stable 65fps - nice framerate! The game's release is planned for this November.

It's obvious Unreal Tournament 3 will become a new action/fps icon for next few years. Everyone's gonna find something in this game and stunning graphics, new vehicles, gametypes and fully-featured single-player will help that. Professional gamers will enjoy the game dynamics and weapon balance."
